Adam Jelloian
My name is Adam Jelloian. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with a master's degree in counseling psychology from California Lutheran University. I'm also EMDR-trained and a certified SYMBIS facilitator, which I bring into my work with anxiety, trauma, and premarital counseling specifically. I have a strong passion for working with teens, young adults, adults and couples. I work closely with local churches and private schools throughout Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks, and Simi Valley, with a primary focus on Christian counseling. Many of my clients are coming in seeking a faith-based approach to feel truly seen, valued and understood. I have experience working in several different settings as a therapist including Conejo Valley School District, a residential facility for teens, intensive outpatient for adults, and private practice. When working with children and teens, I make it a priority to help the parents grow as well. Ultimately, I want to ensure that the whole family is feeling supported and we are able to collaborate with one another.
In the room with me, you can expect my full attention, understanding, and collaboration as we work together. We will customize a plan that will meet your needs and work on what you bring into the room. I believe you have the inner strength to overcome what is holding you back, therefore I will be your guide to better understand yourself. Having mutual trust and understanding is crucial. I want to make sure that our time serves you and your family well.
It is through this journey together we will be able to uncover your best self that is fully authentic, present, and free. As a Christian working with people of all faiths and backgrounds, I would be honored to be part of your therapeutic journey.

Services Offered
I offer therapy services in person in Westlake Village and online (CA only). I work extensively in the Christian community and love to partner with local churches and private schools. In my practice I work with adolescents, young adult and adult individuals, and couples.
Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is an intentional, one-on-one space dedicated solely to you. In our work together, you'll find a safe, compassionate, and authentic environment where you can show up exactly as you are. We may explore early formative experiences, uncover core beliefs, and develop practical tools to navigate the stressors and challenges of everyday life. This process can help gain a clearer understanding of your internal world, make meaningful changes and build healthier habits. My goal is to walk with you through whatever season you're in and help you regain a deeper sense of peace, clarity and hope.
Couples Therapy

Couples therapy provides a safe and supportive space for significant others to better understand themselves - both individually and together. In our work, we may focus on learning healthier ways to manage conflict, communicate clearly, regain trust, and deepen companionship and intimacy. I am to help you recognize your strengths as individuals and as a couple, fostering a renewed perspective of one another. My hope is to help you thrive by gaining new, meaningful tools to bring into your relationship. Together, we will create plan to achieve mutual understanding, love and lasting care.
EMDR Therapy

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an evidence-based approach to help people heal from trauma, anxiety, stress, depression and other overwhelming life experiences. One of the unique strengths of EMDR is that people do not need to share every detail of their story; a simple "newspaper headline" of the experience is enough. EMDR can help reduce emotional distress, reshape negative thought patterns, and support the brain in processing difficult memories more adaptively, creating increased psychological flexibility, and a renewed sense of peace in both mind and body.

Why Therapy?
It's okay to ask for help. The weight of the world on top of your own internal struggles can feel overwhelming and simply terrifying; leaving you with stress, anxiety, depression even fear. These feelings become more present as you enter into adulthood, leading you to question your true identity and who you are called to be. The different transitions life has to offer may leave you feeling stuck, almost drowning in negative emotion. You might be crying for help on the inside, yet it becomes so difficult to express this need on the outside. Now is the time to truly get that support and guidance. Whether facing depression, anxiety, fear, difficulty as a young adult, or struggling in your walk of faith, you need someone to be with you during this journey. You and I will be able to create a safe, collaborative space where you are back in control in your own life. You now get the ability and freedom to choose healing each and every day. As a Christian, I understand how important faith is within mental health and healing; I am here to prioritize that aspect of your life as needed. I will always bring my full, authentic self during this time of change. Together, we can begin shifting the dimmer switch of darkness to a brighter, more joy-filled life, and we can walk in faith to experience the life God has called you to live. This is a place where faith can meet freedom.

"Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer."
